Curved Stair Wall

 

This wall curves around and can be seen from the living area and the kitchen. The challenge was to paint a scenic view within the curved wall. To make it more believable I painted a foreground wall with a window view looking out into the garden.  To create more depth we decided to paint a portrait of the family dog "Snuggles" sitting on the ledge. When I finished the mural Snuggles came over and began to bark at herself.

Garden Stairs

 

Once I entered into this beautiful home I knew I would need to exceed my own abilities. This home had been professionally faux finished by an extremely talented artist and I wanted very much for my mural to complement the already existing décor. With a little effort I was able to incorporate some of my client’s personality and style, as well as their beloved pets. One of the pets had passed away but sentimental feelings for him still remained, so we decided to include him in the mural and place a small halo over his head to signify his “heavenly presence”.
