Garden Fireplace

The alcove above this fireplace set back in the wall about 12 inches and had just enough height to create a wonderful scenic view. However because it went all the way up to the top of the second floor the challenge was to bring the whole length of the wall together, and create a look that would allow the viewers eye to read its way up to see the mural itself.  I felt that by introducing trompe l’oeil we could warm up the wall around the mural and keep it from standing alone in the middle of the wall. The fireplace and wall around the mural, were faux finished with painted architectural carvings to enhance the look of a fireplace unit, reaching high above to frame a grand view.

Please remember to scroll down after viewing close-ups, there are many more murals below

Bronze Statuary

I had a wonderful time painting in the home where this statuary stands tall. Just around the corner is the stair mural including my clients puppy, Snuggles.

Music Room

Most rooms to me tend to speak out a little on their own, and then there are some that reach out and pull me into the adventure that lies ahead. I enjoyed so much painting in this inviting room, with its warm colored wall, high ceiling and beautiful white woodwork. The carpet in the room is also a rich dark green making you feel as though you are walking right out onto the gardens lawn.
