My client thought she would have to repaint this freshly painted girls room, in order to have a mural blend within its walls for a soon to be little boy’s room. I really enjoyed the cheerful feeling the existing color evoked, as did my client. So with a little color theory and brainstorming we were able to pull off a great combination (keeping the wall color) that just illuminated this little boy’s room. The content and colors in the finished mural make you feel as though you are watching the big screen. Where’s the popcorn? |

Ballerinas
These ballerinas were painted on slanted walls on both sides of a little girl’s room. I got great advice from the young owner of these large as life ballerinas, who allowed me to use two of her beautiful ballerina dolls to match colors and give the painting the look she wanted. One of the ballerinas looks as though she is gracefully jumping over the beds in the room. It was great fun to watch the excitement build as the ballerinas took shape on the wall.

Noah’s Ark 2
This ark was painted to match the theme of the room; the comforter set has the same ark of animals, and clouds with stars all around as well.

The Big Race
This mural I painted for my son and it was one of my very first attempts at mural painting.

Little Girls Room
This is actually painted in my daughter’s room; she did not want to move out of the nursery to make room for her new brother. I thought maybe if I redecorated the grown up looking guest bedroom and paint something she liked she would move out and into it with ease. It worked! I think it was at this time that I realized the impact that a personalized room can have on even a small child. This room brought me great satisfaction. |
